I just booked Owensboro, KY - Sanford, FL on Allegiant Air for $9.99 each way on Dec 16-20. I am so excited!!! I just had to share the good news and spread the pixie dust so that maybe someone else can use this. Several other days are $37.44 each way. LOL - it cost more for my bags to fly ($15 each way) than it did for all 7 of us!!

Does anyone here besides me fly Allegiant Air? I've been using them for a few years now for most of my trips back to Iowa and I can attest that they're a great airline! They don't fly into major airports like most carriers, to some that's a negative but I find that it's much easier to fly into a smaller airport, not wait in such ridiculously long lines, and have a more enjoyable experience....

Allegiant revealed today that it has purchased 2 more MD -83s for all cash. The aircraft are to enter service with Allegiant in the 1st quarter of 2010. http://biz.yahoo.com/e/091117/algt8-k.html I understand that there is a MD -87 being retired in the 1st quarter so this purchase is a fleet net increase of 1 aircraft to start 2010. G4 's current guidance is to grow by 6 ...

I am happy i just book yet another Vegas trip. Allegiant is in the middle of another of their BOGO sales for airfare with hotel. Grand total with all fees for my next weekender was $598.36 for two people. How can you beat that. Will be staying at Bally's this trip. I am a low roller but do give Harrah's enough play to get rooms comped but it is cheaper this way. ...

Quoting F9Animal ( Reply 8 ): Allegiant is very healthy, and I am sure they have hedged their fuel (could someone verify)? Allegiant quit fuel hedging about 2 or 3 years ago. They instead "hedge" by adjusting their schedule. When fuel prices went up they reduced frequency, stage lengths, etc.

Each way is great! Every time I look to take advantage of Allegiant deals it only lets me get a deal one way, then by the time the charge you for seating, booking, bags, breathing, etc. I'm better off with Southwest. Sanford isn't a bad place to land if you're getting a deal like that. Good job!

Gruss
