ziplock is about to be reported for slander, at the very least clear his posts and stop him from infecting his poison on a board that has to this point been constructive.

I tried this trick of mixing the henna in a ziplock baggie, with a paper towel under it to see when the dye is released.. but it doesn't work?.. I used only lemon juice, it's been sitting for 13 hours now, just tested it on my palm and there's definitely dye release, but it doesn't show on the paper towel. I even tried 2 different ziplock baggies.. am I missing something? :s

The Preparation: The heart is made from any red Jello with a some melted cream cheese added to make it opaque. For the blood, use Karo syrup with red food coloring added. You can purchase "Heart" molds from any Halloween store.Place the 'blood' in a small ziplock plastic bag . Pour half of the jello into the mold, put the "blood" in next, then fill the rest of the way with ...

We all should know that "Homeland Security" has authorized certain agencies to monitor telephone calls and internet activity in the interest of national security. A funny thought hit me today though as I was ordering a bunch of 2"x2" ziplock baggies... If you caught a little of my "business as usual" online chats, telephone calls, or online shopping activity, it would sure look suspicious....

Hi I am a post-doc student in a field having very little to do with physics and math. currently I am designing an experiement and have (i hope) a relatively simple question. here is the scenario: A ziplock bag (or similarly non-elastic reservoir) contains water, but is not maximally filled, so there is no great deal of internal compression on the...

Currently my watch is sitting in a ziplock bag with rice while I try to figure out if this is normal. I go from indoor (~75F) to outdoors (~30F) the crystal fogs up just a bit inside. It this normal or should I be worried about water damage?

Hmmm... I've never put a paper towel under the ziplock... I normally wrap it in a towel though, and I'm thankful that it doesn't ooze out through the bag! I would have ruined a few towels. If you have dye release when you test in on your hand, use it! That's good enough. Next time, consider mixing it with water (perhaps distilled if you don't like your tap water) rather than lemon ...
