I'm getting the following warning from a cron job that is running mysql-zrm --action purge. purge:WARNING: last backup directory is not valid. Allthought it seems to purge everything ok. I'm still curious as to what that warning means.

At the moment the email subject is set to "[ZRM for MySQL Report] backup-set dailyrun". I'd like to change this since I'm running the backup manager on several machines, and I'd like to be able to differentiate. Also, is it yet possible to turn off automatic emailing for incremental jobs, whilst keeping it enabled for full backups? Many thanks.

Here is the situation: We are using zrm to make raw files backups on our production database server. There are about 6 different databases on the prod server and it's mix of MySQL MyISAM and InnoDB tables in some of them. In the configuration file, I previously had data retention set to 3 months, I 've changed it to 1 month due to disk shortage. However, no data that older than 1 month, has been deleted. I am using MySQL-zrm-2.1-1 Please help.

I found a chart detailing the differences between 3 different enterprise editions: http://network.zmanda.com/popups/popup.html But I couldn't find the difference between these editions and the community edition. Can you refer me to such a chart? I would really like to know what the differences are.

All worked until I updated packages from 5.0 to 5.1 MySQL enterprise. I can still login and view all the databases and tables. Lot of questions. As you quoted regarding ZRM, "you can override and select yourself what tool to use." If you want to use snapshots, then you have to use a system that is capable of doing so. You would also have to lock and flush all of MySQL before doing a snapshot. Then unlock and proceed to backup the snapshot. It reduces the downtime while maintaining the integrity of the backup.
