As an Army kid in Germany in the late 1960 or early 70's Cox use to make a gas powered airplane or at least the engine and the pint cans of fuel which had to be squirted in to engine to start it. I do not recall if Cox manufactured the entire aircraft I want to say they did. The engine was started using a finger to turn the prop. If you weren't careful the prop would do a number on your ...

Centuries ago, historians came up with the classic theory to explain the rise and decline of nations. The theory was that great nations start out tough-minded and ...

Glories of yesteryear were conceived when General Motors licensed a Californian specialist sports car partnership in early 2009 to resume production of the iconic Corvette Grand Sport, arguably GM's most prestigious track racer ever. www.6park.com Duntov/Superformance LLC lost no time in turning opportunity into reality, and Duntov immediately began production of the race version of the 1963 ...

For airlines still flying 707s, DC-8s, L-1011s and the like... rarer airliners of yesteryear, how do they find new pilots to fly them? Do they rely on older pilots with experience on these planes? Do they often train younger pilots? What a thrill it must be for a younger pilot to train on a piece of history. Has anyone here ever been certified on an aircraft long after the type has ...

Using Olympus equipment from yesteryear for flash. It really does not matter what or whose the camera is. The Sony Bridging H7 is used in this discussion. Most digitals, at least non DSLR units, have no external flash connectors and certainly nothing to sync an old gun with. Some Olympus compacts at least have a hot shoe but not a 15x zoom that is often quite useful for 6x4 prints or for ...
