I bought this 2006 Yamaha FZ6 to ride back and forth from Taft to Bakersfield to work on. I bought it new from Bakersfield Yamaha and have taken great care of it. I have a 2004 Yamaha FZ6 with 15k miles on it. The engine dies when the RPMs get over ~5000. Once the engine dies the start button will generally do nothing, not a single noise will come from the starter. I have to turn it off and on a few times with the key before it will start again. I thought maybe it was the kickstand switch so I tried it in neutral and the exact same thing happened....
