Another Range Test: 16.5" YHM Barrel Previous to today, only shot 55gr. fmjbt through the recent build with 1/7, chrome-lined, fluted, YHM 16.5" barrel. Getting about 2" with 55s. I have to echo the positive comments here. I bought a YHM Phantom 7.62QD and use it on several rifles, 5.56 and 7.62. It is definitely hearing safe, and I'm sure there are figures out there comparing YHM's offerings to AAC, noise reduction-wise. I also experience less blowback in my AR with the 7.62 can over a 5.56 can. The 7.62 Phantom is HEAVY though, as has been mentioned. I was impressed ...
