So I have been placed from specialty to Nasocort and Xyzal...PCP...should be fun considering access and formulary coverage is dismal. But I guess it beats alterative, no placement. Anyone out there have any insight on these drugs? How they do in market? Fuck I really don't want to see allergy!

I stopped taking Xyzal on Wed for allergy testing next week. I have to stop it for 7 days. The next day I started itching like crazy...my head, face, neck, arms, stomach, back, chest and shoulders. Most of the itchy areas also have red bumps. At first they were small, but now they are bigger and some have them have broken open and have bled. It looks really gross. I also have an eczema rash...

Replying to: Xyzal-twice a day? I think you need to discuss this with your allergist. Xyzal is a powerful antihistamine (about twice as powerful as Zyrtec, from which it's derived) and you don't want to overdose. So give the allergist a call before you take more than is prescribed, and also discuss with the allergist your use of Benadryl along with the Xyzal. Hope this helps. Judy...

Hey, you were right ... the Allavert in combo with the Xyzal is sedating. Way cool! I may bet more than 2 to 3 hours sleep tonight. Woo hoo! Or, it will wear off the effect, and I'll wake up 2 hours after I fall asleep. But, neat to find out... Not ready for bed yet, though. I don't like to get in bed if I cannot sleep. Drives me batty.
