Like the title states, looking at buying a 2000 Ford Ranger XLT 4x4 (manual tranny) with a 4.0 L 41000 miles apparently...The truck is about 2 hours from me and the guy claims he only used it on weekends because he works from home and that he bought the truck new.. I have a 2006 XLT with 88K miles. I have never had a problem until 2 months ago. My car was leaking radiator fluid and overheated. It ended up need ing a new Thermostat and Radiator cap. It was driving fine until 2 days ago. It saw the guage start to rise and fall. It is also making a roaring noise when I accelerate just like last time. Could it be the thermostat again or the cap?? You can do the same thing with an .xls file, but with the .xlt, it forces you to create a new file. You cannot inadvertantly save the .xlt file with any changes made, whereas you could with the .xls file, thereby destroying your template. it has a 488 twin its a 90 but i forgot i have a set of xlt crank cases at home that i can try and bolt the motor to and see if it will fit i will let you know

Pretty neat. My freinds got the 3.0 version of that frame (same year too) and he built it up as an AM/light freeride rig. I have the 07' XLT 1.0 as well; it's a great bike and will give you a lot of good riding in the future.

That is the plan/idea. The rear window is a single unit. I am looking at putting a ladder rack type of unit on, then a contractor cap looking thing. I'd use the bed as a camper. Have you heard all the stories about flat towing that causes the tranny to burn up? I also am about to tow the same rig and it seems we may have a good chance of burning up our transmission.
