i'm plotting my next 15 for next year. if getting an atomic apx proves difficult, i'm shooting for a new ssa xcon or fi btl. both are around the same price. i hate either or threads as much as the next person, but any help in deciding which to pick would be greatly appreciated. Whichever will receive 3500wrms, maybe more if i change amps next year.

Yeah it is confusing. But you are on the right track if you ask me. I say go a bit stiffer and enjoy the short grass. A whippy shaft will hit it a bit further, but who knows where the hell it is going. Below is from another thread. Read post #9 as it makes an excellent point about choosing reg, stiff, etc.. and why a pro fitting is required.... http://thesandtrap.com/forum/...

I'm agreeing with the Matrix XCON sayers. And kingfisher, Tour pros don't hit driver all the time. If they hit driver all the time, their averages would probably go up 10 yards. But they're smart and don't.

You just need a 1000watts amp on a Q or an Icon. If you want more output :xcon or others. Without electrical upgrades it's difficult to have more than 1500 watts rms. Tell us what you chose.

I had a vote in the "GolfWRX People's choice" poll. Well over 3000 votes, thought people here might be interested to see what is tha shiznit. It appears a lot of Titleist Kool-Aid has been consumed. The poll is a day or so old, no doubt the results will continue to change slightly, but 3000+ votes are generally enough to determine trends. Anyway..... FYI...... Players drivers...

The TP has the real Motore shaft standard and you can upgrade to the real Fubuki, Xcon, Voodoo shafts for no upcharge from TM. I think the adjustability is a little different for the TP versions as well. I think you can open theface up more than the standard version. Head wise, they are exactly the same.
