I recently bought a colt xse government and 4 mags. I had to mail order ammo since there is none available in my area to by. So I think I will just shoot 22cal.(I have ammo)

have a Colt XSE stainless in 45 ACP. This gun had night sites on it that went dead, and I have swapped the rear out for a Novak. The front site is still the dead night sight. It is in excellent condition, and has mostly been sitting in a safe over the years. I don't shoot much any more, so am trying to thin things out. $650. Located in South Georgia. PM if interested.

Oh. Well as long as we are complaining about what Colt isn't doing; I want a Combat Commander 9mm, a 1991 officers and CCO and an XSE in 9x23 winchester and a longslide available in every other caliber I can thing of and when are they going to make revolvers again I really would like a new production Diamondback 22, 38 and a magnum carry and I think they really need to make the model 1908 .380...

Located in Gaithersburg MD 20878 Any sizes around those sizes stated above. Ill even take a 205/35/18 if there is any out there. looking for mainly an all season so i can run these through the winter. my tires half about 50% left and i will post pics for anyone that is "actually" interested and serious.

Need a few opinions, dear friends. Its high time I add a Colt to my collection. My excuse this time is that I need a good 1911 for off duty carry. I've been looking at different brands/models, but the XSE Commanders have gotten my attention. However, I'm debating between the lightweight and all stainless. Newbie question of sorts: I would like to purchase custom stocks for the new ss xse 5" when I get it... I believe the wood is called 'black silverwood' or something.... It's a black kind of wood... I've seen them posted on the web but no one has answered the question... and I'd love to have the silver colt medallion embedded in them. Any suggestions on where to get these stocks?

I am hearing that an 18 or 22 recoil spring is better for the commander models (especially my lightweight commander) as it will lesson the impact on the aluminum frame. Is this the way you all see it? I am not sure what my Colt Lightweight Commander XSE came with, so I figured i would need to replace it.

So the little alan screw on my government XSE is for what exactly? I was told it was to "adjust take up" but what does that mean? The trigger does have some forward slop and is that how you rid it of this issue? New to the colt game and like to learn.
