Is it the case as a recent thread suggested that all good music originates from working class roots? Or is it possible for good music to come from others? Over to you forum. Could be very interesting, but also subjective I think.

Labour discovers white working class http://blogs.telegraph.co.uk/news/ja...working-cla ss/ Things must be bad. Labour is reduced to the policy of last resort: it is actually reaching out to the white working class. Desperate or what? the communities secretary John Denham said that the party needed a new focus on ...

Government bodies and councils have been ''blind'' to the needs of white working class communities, Cabinet minister John Denham has said. The communities Secretary called for a new focus on the needs of poor whites affected by mass immigration. And he said state agencies charged with tackling inequality and disadvantage should no longer focus solely on ethnic minority groups. ...

I definately am more "blue-collar" than "white-collar". I prefer the "working-class" over the "9-5 office worker" mentality so, I'm trying to locate the best "working-class" metro area that has a fairly decent economy. I know Detroit is a "blue-collar, working-class" community but, the economy sucks. Any suggestions?

Yes sir you are so much better than those other food stamp leeches because you go to church and are married. Although they have embraced food stamps they still maintain their smug sense of superiority. http://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/29/us...agewanted=1 &hp Quote: Like many new beneficiaries here, Mr. Dawson argues that people often abuse the program and ...

Does he know your marriage is in trouble? Is their anyway you can suggest he see someone or you will have to separate? Men usually aren't into shrinks b/c they think they should be able to deal with their own problems but if it is impacting you as well, he needs to.

How schools 'turn white working-class boys to crime' Failing state schools are turning thousands of poor white boys into criminals and social misfits, a report claims today. Schools are accused of letting down 'potentially decent' children on a massive scale by failing to instil proper discipline or teach them to read. ...

I'm still more impressed with Ham our first SpaceChimp than I am with our current Dear Leader. By all accounts Ham did a first class job in orbit, trained to pull various levers up there, working without a union paid in peanuts. On the other hand our Dear Leader (hear those school kids singing his song in the background?) has just announced he's sending thousands of our troops over to Afghanistan...

IMO. oldandrew: In fact after Cameron's "hug a hoody" speech and the inevitable cuts in education expenditure they might even get worse. Might?

Re: Labour discovers white working class NuLabour, collectively, have never supported socialist principals. If they, collectively, have any pricipals at all, which I doubt, it (and no that is not a typo) is, solely, to cling onto power (gravytrain) by any and all means possible.
