Weird Work Ethic At every job I ever had in Korea, the boss always appreciated it when I did extra work for free. Okay, so the appreciation was not always expressed, but I was certainly never told to NOT do extra work. I am in trouble at work again. I'm in trouble for giving my students four extra hours of instruction. No, I didn't charge them. No, their grades didn't depend on ...

I know many hate the guy but you have to respect the work ethic he has. He's the best player in the NBA and yet still works harder than anyone to improve his game day in and day out. Everyone knows how hard it is to stay on top of your game in whatever field you work in. You got to respect that.

Hey guys. I'm having issues with my work ethic in poker. I'm a workaholic. Poker is my main source of income. I try to play everyday. Poker for me is less fun than it is serious work. My daily schedule is structured towards 5-6 hours of play and then I'm exhausted and for the rest of the day I watch some deucescracked videos, analyze my play and relax. When this daily ...

Allow me to express my sincere interest in working with such a worthwhile organization that aids in bringing families together. As my resume will indicate, I have experience with overall office coordination and management. Some of my areas of expertise include meeting set-up; scheduling meetings and appointments; coordinating travel and processing expense reports; event coordination; daily ...

Stealing jobs is a poor work ethic The Washington Times November 17, 2009 Tuesday Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano's statement - "that," as The Washington Times puts it, "the federal government has done its work and now it's time for Congress to pass a broad bill to legalize illegal immigrants" - is pure sophistry ("Immigration bill promoted for 2010," E-...

I thought the linked article made an interesting connection between a belief in hell and economic success. When a "belief in hell jumps up sharply while actual church attendance stays flat, it correlates with economic growth. Belief in heaven also has a similar effect, though less pronounced. Mere belief in God has no effect one way or the other. Meanwhile, if church attendance actually rises, it...

no-shows for lunch; caught in bars constantly; docs think she is a whore; doesn't show up for work due to hangovers and many excuses; no one on the team can stomach her.

I agree with Eyeball Kid, Aly and Dan. Find a new school to work at if you have issues with their conduct, charter, or "philosophy" or whatever. My school is extremely supportive. I do not know what your school has but we have a self-access learning centre - learner training and autonomy is a strong focus, we are expected to counsel and advise students on study matters - this is all in ...

H. Alger is the poster child for the Protestant Work Ethic!!!!! He wouldn't be a fraud, if the protestant work ethic hadn't preceded him in fraudulence. AND DAMN I'D LOVE TO SEE THE LOOK ON GLENN BECK'S FACE IF HE READ THIS THREAD.

Good for him. I have watched him play a couple of times. Would be a nice guy to draft in the 2nd round and at least give him a camp invite. I am sure he can play much better than Sasha has, at a fraction of the price.
