Is there any way of opening a 1991 document - created in wordperfect - which had a password. I change dover to Word in 1995 but now need this doc again. It is now saved as a Word .doc but I get the message "cannot convert password protected documents". I have the passsword. Do I need to buy and install Wordperfect again to open it?

There are more filings in the Novell v. Microsoft antitrust case over WordPerfect. Many, many more, mainly exhibits, a total of about 2,540 pages. Some exhibits themselves run to nearly 200 pages, and Novell has 158 exhibits. So, what is happening? Last time we looked in on this case , the parties had filed summary judgment motions. Now Microsoft has filed a cross motion asking the ...

I'm so glad you answered my question with a resounding Yes as to whether you wanted to get all the exhibits attached to Microsoft's Memorandum of Law [PDF] in support of Microsoft's cross motion for summary judgment in the Novell v. Microsoft antitrust litigation. We finally find out what Microsoft paid Caldera to settle the DrDOS litigation back in 2000: $280 million. We even get to ...

I apologize if there is a thread already giving the answer to my question. I am writing my book in WordPerfect. I am probably going to publish the book through CreateSpace or some other similar outfit. Manuscripts have to be submitted in PDF format. How do I do that? Do I have to purchase a software package like Adobe PageMaker or Adobe Illustrator? I really am not very tech savvy and don't...
