Stopped by my local (1 hr 15 minutes away) Woodcraft today in Baltimore, MD. Funny.... You guys always talk about how friendly and helpful they guys are that work at Woodcraft (everywhere). It couldn't be more dead on. What a nice bunch of guys. I happen to be in the area, and thought I would go by to see if they had anything I just couldn't refuse. Well, they didn't, but that didn't ...

Jorgensen ISD bar clamps ~25% off at woodcraft, plus free shipping on all orders and $10 one order per customer. These are nice quick clamps except for the fact that the pads bleed; if you search here you'll find folks talking about the problem and a couple ideas on how to solve it, IIRC. I own Woodcraft, so I'm posting this in the hopes that you will buy items from me and make me ...

i just used both codes to order a small amount of wood; worked for me, but placed order last night over the 'net for free shipping, then read about $10 off here, called Woodcraft and they changed my order for me - used both codes successfully that way.

I used the code to get this: http://www.woodcraft.com/Product/200...sh--Quart.a spx Tried & True oil finish (item #126855) -- would have been ~$30 shipped, sent to my house for $13. This was a finish used in a FWW 'tips and tricks' DVD I got from my library. Very thick, all natural finish. For that price, I'm excited to try it out.

I always like stopping by my local Woodcraft. Also 1 hour 15 away. I find the same thing. One gentleman in particular is always kind to give tips on how to make jigs and fixtures rather than buy them. Seems bad for business, but then, treating customers with kindness is never bad for business. A customer is worth more than a sale.

Apparently Woodcraft has updated there system to only accept 1 code, So it will either be free shipping or the $10 off. These are not very heavy so I suspect that shipping would be the lesser.

I saw the old woodcraft stool still there & ordered it + a lazy susan. They canceled the stool, but did not inform me, I sent a email inquiring about the status & they informed me the stool was not available & sent me a $25 gift card. That's hard to beat!

Made my first mills the other night from the 6" kit from Woodcraft. Got the Woodriver (house brand) 1 1/16" forstner bit and the extender. Worked like a charm at 450 RPM on the lathe, as long as you back out and clear the shavings often. Also ground a small flat area on the shaft of the bit, so the set screws on the extender would grip better.

I got that same bandsaw to compliment my Laguna LT18, just for the small, quick scrolly stuff. The newer ones come with a rip fence, where my older model does not. Great for the small stuff, but don't expect it to cut any thick timbers with it.
