In Bob Wirz' latest newsletter he suggests that the MLB free agent market may lead to more players (and agents) looking at indy ball as a "backup plan" if they're not picked up. His idea is that non-roster invitees are typically given only a quick look and usually the first to go. I would think that perhaps the egos of players would play into this. As in, playing indy ball is somehow admitting to having less talent/drive/whatever.

Recently I picked up a copy of 'Plan 9 From Outer Space' at a DVD sale. The box advertised a commentary by Mike Nelson, suggesting the movie had been both colorized and MST3K-ized .
