Ok, first of all, I have been reading these past 4 days non stop about how to accomplish my goal (seen next). I have had mixed reviews on if I can do this or not. I figured I would just be a noob, suck it up and ask. Goal: Use my 1TB time capsule as a wireless extender connected to the main Router/modem I have in house. Setup. I have a rather decent size house so my Westell ...

Has anyone tried this before? I just read that by installing custom firmware on a Linksys router, you can enable "client mode", which allows two routers to connect to each other; with one being the host, and the other, the client. I'm curious as to whether or not this is efficient, since I'm considering doing this for my Xbox 360. The official wireless adapters for this thing are way overpriced,...

I'm looking to set up a wireless bridge between two networks located about a 1/4 mile apart. I can take care of getting RF signals between the two points without any problems as I have many years of experience dealing with RF up into the GHz region of spectrum. I'm wondering what kind of bridge hardware do I need. Are there any inexpensive wireless routers that can also be used in bridge mode?

OK... I've been connected wirelessly for awhile and it has been working fine. The PS3 is pretty far away from my router (which is a gigabit N) and the signal travels through about 6 walls and a floor. It still connects at over 75% though and I have minimal issues. I recently got DirecTV and I have the receiver next to the PS3 connected to my network via a wireless bridge (also N). Here's ...

Hope this comes out clear for everyone. I dont know the models of my wireless modems because I'm not at home right now. I have a newer 2Wire router from ATT that connects to the ISP. All works well with this unit. I have a spare older 2Wire router (looks like a big bowtie) in the close not being used. Is it possible for the older 2Wire to connect to the newer 2Wire wirelessly to create ...
