I don't run anti-virus on my iMac; however, I do run VMWare and WindowsXP for the only one program for XP that I like and that is not available for OS X.. Do I need to install an anti-virus program on VMWare/WindowsXP since I run this one program that does use the interrnet occasionally? I do connect with the internet through Airport and a router. Thanks for your suggestions.

I'm trying to connect my work computer, WindowsXP, to my home network. I have two MacBook Pros, HP printer, and TiVo all successfully using this network. Yet, the Windows machine sees the network, shows it is connected, even gives me a speed of connection, but I can't get Internet Explorer to work, can't get email, VPN or RDP to work. Any suggestions?...

I recently bought a camcorder that records onto an 8cm DVD. Whilst the DVD is in the camcorder, I can plug the camcorder into my SONY TV via the cable that came with the camcorder, which terminates in three "Phono" plugs, Red/White(Audio) and Yellow(Video), then view the disc contents. Is there some way I could watch the ...

This desktop sits in a nearby therapy facility for the amusement of the in-patients. I see that there is a small window in the middle of the desktop screen that just can't be removed. Or, at least I can't find out how. The window seems likely to be Google Mail related. The user doesn't have administrator privileges, and the ...
