HELP! I've done so many system restores that I could do it in my sleep!! My computer automatically installs the Windows updates and each time it does, I have to do a restore to remove them because IE says "cannot display the webpage please check your internet connection". What is going on?? I hope something simple. Thanks!

I have done full scans with malwarebytes, and detected one trojan. I have also used spybot. Also, my windows defender has not worked for awhile, one day, I just noticed it was gone. my computer will not install certain windows updates involving office and junk e-mail filter. it's been doing this for like the past 3-4wks. i've run my norton virus scan and nothing comes up. also other updates have installed fine but about 6 won't. 1 person needs an answer I do too

All of the windows updates are automatically installed successfully except service pack 1 on my Windows XP home edition. This has gone on for years but now I am wondering if there is a security problem that is not addressed without the update. 1 person needs an answer I do too
