hi All, I have two machines one which has Open solaris as its operating system and another which has Window Xp professional.I would like to mount a drive from the Windows machine onto the open solaris machine.Just to add i wish to do this without having SAMBA in place. I did a upgrade from Vista to Windows 7 and now both Check disk and Defragment are not working. Each time I restart the computer the system try to do a Check disk and hangs. I need to restart the system multiple times by pressing the power key for a while. Some times it boot up, some times it hangs. 1 person needs an answer I do too

Hi, I am trying to access my windows xp drive from fedora linux OS, but unable to mount. The command I used was "mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /mnt/win". This did not mount the windows drive. Am I required to do any setting in the /etc/fstab file or any other file that might be applicable? Kindly help... Cheers...raks.

Hi, this is my first time coming to this forum. I hope you guys can help me out. I'm helping my friend fix his Windows XP install.
