I keep getting this error when I try to run Shadowrun. I recently upgraded to WIn 7 and tried installing the game, but this error message always comes when I try to run the game. I have the latest live client, but patches 2 and 3 try to start the game to finish the process and the error keeps coming up. Has anyone run into this issue and is there a fix. Thanks.

Hello all, Does anyone have a .vbs script or know of one that will query a server and return data that says it is a Domain Controller, Infrastructure Master, RIS server, WSUS, etc. Scriptomatic can do a few items but is not that good. Thanks, Frank

I need to create a user which must belongs to "Power Users" group. When this user clicking "Add/Remove Windows Components", it shows "you do not have permissions to use Add/Remove Windows Components. Ask a computer administrator to install optional component for you" How can I grant "Add/Remove Windows Components" permission to Power Users?

When trying to add/remove Windows Components in Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, I get "setup cannot open information file koc.inf". And "error code is 0x2 at line 0". Does anyone know how to fix or workaround this? Also, how do you choose which programs you want to load (non-Windows Programs) at start-up? 1 person needs an answer I do too

I try to install IIS in windows XP professional with service pack 2, so I went to Control Panel, Add-Remove Programs then Add/Remove Windows Components. The resulting dialog box did not contain anything for IIS. I accessed a file at c:\windows\inf\sysoc.inf and delete the HIDE word in the iis sentence. I went again to Control Panel, Add-Remove Programs then Add/Remove Windows Components but still...

I alwasy have a devil of a time getting the snap to add to the EB so I can add Windows components. Is there a way to do that from the web interface? When I create a EB it always says "no snap".

Go to add remove programs > windows components. Locate and install IIS, and FTP. There is a pretty good article online with screenshots to help you out creating virtual directories in IIS. http://www.windowsnetworking.com/art...dows-2003.h tml

So apparently my Vista was missing it's Windows Module Installer process. So I had to find the TrustedInstaller.dll and .exe file off some sites and reinstall them. This fixed my problem.

Hi Maritz.Jaco, Welcome to Microsoft Answers community. Microsoft doesn't have any information about its compatibility with windows 7. If that doesn’t help in installing your...
