Different, but not desired, results this time. The RESTORE with RECOVERY, gives me an error that the database cannot be recovered because the log was not restored. RESTORE terminated abnormally. Do a HDD surface test. Place the hhd to another pc and do there the surface test. Or you can download a liveCD and do it from it. There is also a Vista Recovery DVD made by MS (free) to repair such problems. You should try to use it. Another update (if anyone is interested..) Do not try to use vshadow on a machine running iscsiTarget , it can cause unpredictable behavior.. I got BSOD a few times.. it looks like vshadow creates snapshots that iscsiTarget does not like. giving an output message of *** NO MOUNT POINTS *** when running mountvol. the only method I found to remove these annoying missing volumes is to...
