I installed Windows XP Professional, and installed my scanner, and printer drivers after downloading the Service Package 2. The resolution was wrong, and wouldn't let me use the option I needed ( being 1440x900 ) so I looked up a solution and tried enabling VGA Mode. It didn't work, but the resolution didn't look as distorted afterward. I had also changed the account settings, allowing a guest ...

After a recent power outage the screen on my home server requested a disc reboot. The server was installed by a home networking company that has since gone out of business. Needless to say, I don't have the cd of floppy disc for the reboot. Can I reboot using the standard XP Professional reboot disc available for download or do I need a special one for the "LAN PLus" version? If so where can I ...

From time to time I am unable to get my Windows (and all applications under Windows) to switch so I can type Hebrew instead of English. Ordinarily I do this either by: Pressing on the ALT and LEFT-SHIFT keys (together) as a toggle between English and Hebrew, or Clicking on the "EN" icon in the Taskbar and selecting ""HE". When neither of the above work, I must either restart the ...

My current Windows XP disk works fine on my older; slower computer, but doesn't work on my laptop. Whenever I try to boot up from the disk to install it it gives me the 0x0000007b error, but whenever I try to boot with a Vista disk or a Linux disk it works ...

I can't get my Windows Media Player in XP Professional to play DVDs. The system is only a couple of years old and it used to play discs, but for the past several months, it no longer does. WMP retains my music library and can play those songs with no problem, but it won't play a DVD. Why is this the case and what do I need to do to fix it? Robert 1 person needs an answer I do too
