Hi, I'm new to this forum. Recently, I have been wondering about how much K (the "K" from Windows Task Manager - Processes) my computer has. Because I Usually have about 100,000 K when Firefox is open with multiple tabs (which is almost all the time), and explorer.exe usually uses about 40,000 K, and MSN Messenger uses about 32,000. Although it doesn't seem like too much K, my computer still ...

Hello, First time on these forums - I am using Windows Vista Home Premium. I noticed that my laptop (HP Pavilion TX 2000 Notebook, 2.4 GHz AMD Turion) is always *working* on something. When I popped open the Windows Task Manager (for all users), I noticed having 14 different versions of svchost.exe. They belong to users SYSTEM, NETWORK SERVICE and LOCAL SERVICE, and use memory from ...

You can also open task manager using following line Process.Start("taskmgr") But this code will not directly open networking tab.  There must be some parameter for it.

Thank you, your post was very helpful. I went to the manufacturer's website, and found a page for my model. There was no new driver or update that could help me, but I put in an application to technical support there. They may know what the problem is! Also, it was nice to find out that I could stop my mouse/network adapter from waking my computer from sleep mode.. haha.. ^^
