For MDT2008 working together with SMS 2003(andOSD) youneed at least Windows PE or 2005. Higher versions can't be used (so far we know). So Windows AIK is no solution for us.So how can we download WindowsPE 2005

I am trying to make a XP recovery solution (with CD and HDD) with Windows PE 2005 (1.6). However, I am not able to hide the Windows Boot logo. As I remember, Windows XP do allow user using /noguiboot option in boot.ini to hide the boot logo. Would there be a similiar implementation that allow one to hid the windows boot logo? 1 person needs an answer I do too

Hello, I am making a custom HTA application in Windows PE (3.0) to deploy Windows 7 and start some troubleshooting tools if needed. I have added some tools which can access the internet, but I dont want anything in PE to be able to contact the world. Is there some way of configuring the Windows PE firewall to only allow traffic from our internal network?

Hi, As I know, to boot the Windows PE from the hard disk partition, you need to copy Windows PE image and bootable files to the second partition, then use Diskpart command to set the second partition as active and the other existing partition as inactive. On the next reboot, your system will boot into Windows PE. To resume booting into Windows, set the new partition as inactive and set the ...

The 64 bit image must boot from a machine that is 64 bit compliant.  Luckily at this point any machine made in the last 3-4 years *should* be 64 bit compatible so you should be good to go.  However, what is the reasoning behind using the 64 bit PE image?  This could actually be your problem (sorry I didn't see that part of the message before).  I've successfully deployed 64 bit OS's using the 32...

I can't answer you regarding the Real VNC issue. Is it being detected as a threat? If so, please report that:   Please go to https://www.microsoft.com/security/portal/submit.a spx  and submit a sample of the suspected file(s). Please choose " Microsoft Security Essentials" in the product field. To remove MSE, simply uninstall via Control Panel/Programs. There is no cleanup tool for it...

Thanks to all of you. I think that the difference between Bridge on the Mac and Organizer on Windows is what I remember as the "trip up" difference. Explaining Organizer before you get into Elements is a little too much for most beginners. It's good to hear that the heart of the photo editing capabilities are about the same.   Thanks again! You are all great to answer....

I would suggest going with the IIS option. Its so much secure and allows you to run windows specific technologies of asp and asp.net more easily. You can still run mysql with iis, if thats your concern + it supports all other scripting engines of php , perl etc
