I am trying to make a XP recovery solution (with CD and HDD) with Windows PE 2005 (1.6). However, I am not able to hide the Windows Boot logo. As I remember, Windows XP do allow user using /noguiboot option in boot.ini to hide the boot logo. Would there be a similiar implementation that allow one to hid the windows boot logo? 1 person needs an answer I do too

I'm trying to create a GUI for windows PE. When i try and run the application i just get the 0xc0000135 error. It is just a single .exe with no application .dlls needed. I'm using the lastest version of windows PE downloaded from the microsoft site. I've created the application in Visual Basic 2008, all it does is runs commands for imagex for capturing a image and deploying a wim image. Is there ...

Hi, As I know, to boot the Windows PE from the hard disk partition, you need to copy Windows PE image and bootable files to the second partition, then use Diskpart command to set the second partition as active and the other existing partition as inactive. On the next reboot, your system will boot into Windows PE. To resume booting into Windows, set the new partition as inactive and set the ...

The 64 bit image must boot from a machine that is 64 bit compliant. Luckily at this point any machine made in the last 3-4 years *should* be 64 bit compatible so you should be good to go. However, what is the reasoning behind using the 64 bit PE image? This could actually be your problem (sorry I didn't see that part of the message before). I've successfully deployed 64 bit OS's using the 32...

Thanks to all of you. I think that the difference between Bridge on the Mac and Organizer on Windows is what I remember as the "trip up" difference. Explaining Organizer before you get into Elements is a little too much for most beginners. It's good to hear that the heart of the photo editing capabilities are about the same. Thanks again! You are all great to answer....

I would suggest going with the IIS option. Its so much secure and allows you to run windows specific technologies of asp and asp.net more easily. You can still run mysql with iis, if thats your concern + it supports all other scripting engines of php , perl etc
