I upgraded my computer from Vista Home Premium 64 to Windows 7 Premium 64. In the process I seem to have lost Media Center. I preferred to go to Windows 7 Ultimate so I upgraded online thinking that it would restore the Media Center. It did not. How can I retrieve Media Center? An online solution would be preferred! 1 person needs an answer I do too

I'm trying to make a family DVD to sent out to the relatives. I have 8 videos (that I converted from .MOV to .AVI) and some pictures that I would like to put into a slideshow with music. Both the videos and the slideshow don't take even 60 minutes. I made the slideshow via the HP Media Smart and it looks great but when I tried to put it together with the videos, it said it couldn't do the ...

I have a PC running Windows 7 and I use Windows Media Center for viewing TV shows. Windows Media Center claims to allow me to watch my favorite TV show via the internet using the WMC program. However, I use Hulu to watch several of my favorite shows and Hulu is not a channel within the guide. Is there a Microsoft approved plug-in or download to allow shows found on Hulu to be viewed in WMC? 1 ...

I connected my xBox 360 to my computer running Windows Vista using the Windows Media Center Extender feature, but after upgrading to Windows 7, the connection needed to be redone (I did a complete reformat of my computer, not just a simple upgrade from Vista). After setting up the connection, Windows Media Center now tells me that my network performance is low. My network settings have never ...

I ran the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor prior to upgrading, and no issues to do with Media Centre were reported. · Media Centre is unable to determine my TV signal configuration. · I have an antenna connected to a digital STB....

First off, even when the Media Center was working, when I would play movies (.vob) files, the player would have digital corruption (squared pixilation) shown constantly in the picture. The media center was the default player when you put in a DVD. The same movie files played fine on yhe VLC player and the Interactual Sonic player. The Interactual was a Version 2.6 and every time I brought it ...

I wanted to share my method of converting my windows 7 media center TV recordings to h264 for the Droid. This may work for Vista, but assumes that you have the media pack, so your files are .wtv files (not dvr-ms). I use MCEBuddy 2.0 Beta 11. This is a small service to convert the wtv to mp4. I Edited the mcebuddymencoder.conf file and change the H264 mencoder settings to this. Code...

My HTPC is Vista 64 bit based. I have been really working on getting Windows Media Center tweaked the way I want it. One issue I have been wrestling with is getting WMC to recognize my ripped DVD's on the hard drive. Apparently an out of the box installation cannot do this. Stupid. I installed the Microsoft patch to fix this and I could see some of my movies but not all. I later discovered ...
