Hello Folks - I know this has been overed before, but I'd appreciate some clarification (some of us older guys have thick skuls.......). I've always turned off the Windows Firewall, but noticed that the Service still runs. I turned off the Service last night and noticed the system is faster. I researched this on the Forum, but wanted a clarification as to: 1: Should the Windows ...

I have just installed a ripwave modem from irish broadband & have had nothing but problems trying to access the internet. I've since switched off the windows firewall to see if that helps & it seems to have done the trick. ...
