Is it my imagination, or can it be that my wheels aren't perfectly aligned? I would come pretty close to swearing that the bars and the upper tree are turned slightly to the right a few degrees going down the road. With a DSSA the rear tire can be adjusted out of line with the front, and bars/front end would be turned to keep the bike going straight, but this shouldn't be possible with a SSSA, ...

I wondering if anyone can point out a few different options for wheel alignment equipment. So far I have been considering purchasing some gear from www.longacreracing.com . If anyone can recommend anything else? Cheers, Alex.

I went down to my local Indy mech to correct my slightly crooked sterring wheel, and slight pull issue, i figured it was an alignment any half decent one could do it. Now they phoned me up and say i needed to replace the tie rods, i said okay i understand, but then they said total for alignment and parts would be $972.00.... Now iam no mechanic But that just sounds like BS, or does it sound ...

I had my Cooksey ZO6, and my 2010 ZR1 aligned this morning. Cooksey with 9500 milles, and the ZR with 1500 miles. They were both way out on different readings. Not practical to post readings. They were out enough to affect tire wear. Went to an independent shop that handles quiet a few older and new Vetts. They would have been covered under ...

NASIOC, I recently had all-weather tires put on my OEM rims. I opted to have an alignment because the rear toe was a bit off according to their machine. After having the new tires mounted, balanced, and wheels aligned I drove the car fro 100 miles with it pulling to the left slightly. I took it back to the place where I had it aligned and told them about the issue. They had no troubles...

I have a thing that works OK I bought 20 odd years ago. It is a square tube with a cranked square rod of aluminuim in each end that goes in and out and is held in place with a tension spring and has a guage and pointer on one end. You simply slip it between the wheels at the front then check it off against the back, as you pull out the square road to make up the gap you can read the scale. I have...

With slotted/slotting, im worried that by consistant forces and bumps etc, it may move the camber. You got any other details/pics? what did it cost you? Top control arms arnt that much and thats all you would need. My rears are at -2deg camber.

If a steering wheel had no spokes for visual reference, there would be no such thing as "centering"; it's cosmetic. Lack of centering isn't the same as the vehicle being out of alignment; they are independent. Unless there are noticable problems with the vehicle's handling (shaking or pulling hard to one side) or tire wear, you can put off re-alignment until a later date. Watch...

It depends on what they are replacing. (I think the disco 2 and p38 is interchangeable, at least according to roversnorth) http://www.roversnorth.com/store/p-5160-repair-kit -steering-clmn-discovery-ii-lhd.aspx http://www.roversnorth.com/store/p-6621-track-rod- assembly-discovery-ii.aspx http://www.roversnorth.com/store/p-5155-steering-d amper-assembly-discovery-ii.aspx So it can add up...
