How can I measure wetting current cross the switch contact? We set up a test circuit with 7 mA, and then integrate the switch contact with series and measure the current. Our spec is 1-7 mA. With this method we always get 6.95-6.99 mA and believe is high and the method we are doing not right. Please advise. Thanks for your time and advise.

( This sounds like a perverted specification that was originally for measuring optical inputs which are only current sensitive.  You would want them to trip between 1 and 7mA or call them dead.  Not mechanical switches. , )

When dealing with relays there is a minimum current which is referred to as a wetting current which is the minimum current which will help to prevent oxidation of the contacts. If a current far to small for the relay is used for a very long time, the resistance of the contacts can go up substantially. It may be that other connections in the system will behave in the same manner. I ...

I've got 2 4870's crossfired. Do I count? I'm kind of torn. I don't have a problem with the performance of my current setup, or the power draw, or the space it takes up, or the noise... But I'm a developer, and Direct Compute pretty much has me wetting myself. I'm hoping I can hold out til the X2 comes out.
