I have a 1995 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Over the past several months, I've had a problem with the carpet in the back getting soaking wet every time we drive in the rain. I discovered that the water is NOT leaking in from the roof or window. Rather, the water is coming directly through the floor from the road. I confirmed this by placing a plastic sheet on the floor, and a cardboard box on top of it. ...

I did a search on here for the types of cleaners people use around their cats and the general seems to be vinegar and water or simple green. But do you let your cats on the floor before it's dried? I was thinking of getting some simple green for cleaning the tile floor in the cat room (HUGE room with a bunch of cat trees) when we move back to my family home (to care for my aunt) but there ...

Hi all, I require some urgent advice on floor insulation. The radon barrier was put in last week making and the floor insulation was put on top of it, we are using 150mm xtratherm polyiso. Unforunately, and contrary my instruction, this was not covered and then we had a couple of days of crazy rain. Can someone tell my if this damages the insulation and it's effectivness. As the ...

Truck is an 05 Double Cab LB. I just pulled up the mat on the driver's side and the floor is soaked. I'd suspect the A/C drain, but the passenger's side is completely dry. Any suggestions where to look?

I started to notice that the inside of my car started to smell really bad and then I found out my whole carpet floor was wet. Only the carpet got wet not the seats or anything else. Why is that?? I mean I don't remember driving on puddle or anything. Thanks.

I swear by steam. It cleans and sanitizes and the floor dries almost immediately. I have the Shark canister. I love it, but now they have come out with a Shark that does not need a canister. I may invest in one..just easier than dragging a canister around. But IMO steam is the way to go.

As and addendum to this thread -- After these heavy rains in So. Calif, I found a half-inch of standing water in the rear passenger foot area. Nothing in the front. Nothing on the headliner. I checked the sunroof drains and they were fine. Per other threads I removed the pollen filter and housing and resealed the housing with RTV. What I think is happening ...

I second the motion. If the evaporator case drain is clogged up, that can cause what you describe. Rainwater also uses that drain, so it doesn't matter if the A/C has been running or not.

On the driver's side of the Taurus, you will not find leaks relating to anti-freeze as the heatercore and much of the cooling related items are on the passenger side. One member commented on the Taurus Club that his leak came from: "a small section under where the large wire harness splits into the door and the rest go under the dash." Slab some silicone on there and hope for the best.
