Hi, Here's a photo I took yesterday of the hedge in the front garden. You can tell how cold it is - the temperature was -5C at the time and it was taken at noon. We've not had temperatures above 0C for the last week here. The worst winter recorded in Scotland for the last 20 years - and boy - does it feel like it too !! http://www.pbase.com/image/120672617/large.jpg Regards, Zorpie

Posted this a day or 2 ago on the Ebay/car boots forum, but from experience now think it would be better here. Anyone know of any winter car boots (inside or outside) that are worth attending in the west of scotland ? I know the indoor one at Lanark is all year round.

Yo Phil im a regular at Eliburn ressy, im sure there were pike there at one point but i think they were call caught and killed or just died out. I have fished there for years and never heard of anyone catchin them even on the small roach and rudd while reelin in. personally it makes sence for them to stock some pike....gets rid of the weak and ill fish, but hey not my lake! :P

I don't believe a 30 year period is sufficient to tell you anything about global warming. Obviously countries like China and the USA have to reduce the use of fossil fuels but naturally occurring climatic changes are also part of the equation and these have to be looked at over a longer period, Mike ovrebekk wrote: > > > Global means 'average', not 'always' ;) > > > I finally got a white ...
