Look at this movie : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0379786/ratings how come its not in top250? 8.5 average, 8.0 weighted. why, because of so many 10? id have better weighted if these who voted 10 would vote 9 or 8, that's just pure stupidity. i think that you should focus on improving your weighted rate and leave layout changes for a while. cheerz Bartek

"Wins are a Team Stat."......to quote DaveW.....No Doubt! Take for example....Mike Mussina's 1995 season with the O's....when he posted a 19 win - 9 loss season for an Orioles team that had a 0.493 winning percentage. Would Mussina have won 20... if the O's would have finished at 0.500? Wins can be averaged based on a team's winning percentage, to any statistical datum for ...

In Excel, simply put, the built-in function for sub-totals is what I’m after, but I need to define the specific formula used for each column selected, not just all sum or all average. The built-in function already finds the change in row (for example customer name), inserts the extra row for the sub-total line, creates the outline, and as an example, inserts the formula for sum of column G as...

You're point here is well taken...if a guy..like Denny McLain..happens to have a career year and wins 31 games and that propels his team to the World Series...aren't we punishing him twice when we adjust his wins based on the high winning percentage he worked so hard to establish? I think subtracting the total wins and losses of the subject pitcher's record from overall team won-loss record ...

chicago gangster pointed you to some general reasons In this case I'd say it was because some of the higher ratings for this film were posted by the fan base, many of whome haven't voted for much else and therefore (rightly) don't qualify as regular voters. The rating calculation for Top 250 seems to be stricter than for the rating shown elsewhere. I think Serenity was in the ...
