I know if I dont have a balanced meal of carbs to proteins to fat before my workout I hit lactic thrush, or my glycogen bottoms out and I get severely sick and light headed. When you have the lap band, you can't eat enough food before a workout so your fueled properly, how do you ...

I have been training on a weights programme to gain muscle mass for approximatley the last 9 months. The programme was working well but i have decided to take up kick boxing over the last couple of weeks. I am aware that the weight training programme needs ...

Example two cheeseburgers (with bread of course) and cheese fries, Pizza, pasta meatballs, chili with beans and italian bread, fried chicken mased potatoes, etc--YOU GET THE PICTURE Any thoughts on ...

I'm a sedentary girl who's turning 24 next month, and I'm wanting to get fit...I'm at an average weight for my height but I'd really like to lose some fat/inches and tone up abit, according to my body fat monitor I'm at 27-28% body fat and I'd like to get that down to around 22-24% and just stay around those numbers forever...I'm focusing more on inch loss from my body though, since BF numbers ...

Weight training during cycling season I'm interested if others drop their weight training during the summer riding season. I do one hour twice a week of free weights at home Oct-Apr but find that if I continue this into the heavy riding season that it leaves my legs tired. Do others stop lifting in the summer, do less weight work, or ...

I have searched through the threads and various posts but have not come across the information that I need. My question is simple. . . What effect will lifting weights three times a week have on my weight loss? If it will help, I will do it. If it will slow down my weight loss, I will wait until I drop some weight when I am closer to my goal weight of 250 lbs. (...

Lately, I've been doing 1-4 of the following for the legs [note: I do other stuff for core and upper bod too]: From Bicycling Mag: As Ferrari, Pegoretti and Cipollini all prove, a powerful engine and a sexy profile are not mutually exclusive. These six simple moves will not only deliver cycling-specific strength, they'll sculpt every part of your lower body and leave you eager to show ...

This is one of those questions that depends on the level of detail you want to attain. The first, most useless answer, is that it depends on your goal. However, if you are lifting, in almost all cases it is better to run after you lift. Running does tire out your muscles per se -- your triceps, shoulders, and pectorals do not do a lot of work running but benching after running will cause a ...
