Hello, I am currently running an internal web server on a PC with Red Hat 4 installed (Linux version 2.6.18-8.1.8.el5) and I am trying to determine the following: - which web server is currently installed (it does not appear to be Apache - I don't see httpd.conf or apache in the /etc directory)? - which application server is installed / running (I'm not sure if this applicable)?...

Hello guys. I have an item in my template with a next parameters desc: code version item type: zabbix agent item key: web.page.get[localhost,version.phtml?code=1,80] when i tried to get this page via wget for example it returns me next: 2707 but zabbix returns full servers answer such as: HTTP/1.1 200 OK Server: nginx/0.6.26 Date: Fri, 14 Nov 2008 15:17:46 ...

Yeah, try to do what delovelady told you. If you're running any server-side scripting language like CGI, Perl, or PHP try to extract the server software. PHP: PHP Code: Perl/CGI: Code: #!/usr/bin/perl print "Server is $ENV{SERVER_SOFTWARE}"; I Hope I was helpful.

In the past, I think we got HTTPMON for NT4.0, I have never used it actually instead we purchased ipmonitor to monitor it, it has many features not just monitoring web server. You can either google for third party solution, or self develop a simple service that query a specific page or specific returned data then alert by mail or etc if such data is not returned.
