I am configuring a new Cisco 1130AG AP it has been a while since I have worked with Cisco's wireless products but am I missing something? I have connected the AP to the network and the windows DHCP server has assigned it an IP address. I see the MAC address listed with the IP address and I can ping the IP address but I cannot access the web interface through any web browser.

Hi All, Do you know about this? I want to create a file sharing system which is more secure than FTP but with a web interface so that the system does not look like Windows Explorer etc. I understand that FTP systems are not very secure and I have read about FTPS and secure tunneling but will shortly need to talk to someone about the mechanics of this and associated costs. Over to you........

Hi, does anybody still have a copy of the good old webinterface 4.2 lying around? I really need that file. As usual, Citrix besides changing product names every now and then, does not allow to download old files. I can download 4.5 from Citrix, but it is no good as it doesn't run in Windows 2000. Thanks.

Well, well, looks like Cloud Engines, Inc. is doing what it can to poise Pogoplug as a much more consumer-friendly device, both in hardware design and expanded web interface. The second generation Pogoplug solves one of our chief complaints of the first -- namely, four USB ports instead of just one -- while at the same time still sticking with ethernet as its sole internet connection of ...

Hi, I have just moved from vuze on mac which is misbehaving and am glad to see utorrent in active development. The last time I tried it, it made my whole network unstable but the latest version seems great The only thing I miss from vuze is scheduling, i.e. limit speeds at certain times. And the ability to send files via web interface. Basically my torrent client sits on my media mac which I...

I have a D-Link DWL-3200AP wireless access point. It's configuration IP is 192.168.0.50. My router's subnet is on 192.168.1.1. How would I go about configuring it through the web interface? I can't access it at this point. I don't know how to change my subnet over to 192.168.0.x. I'm working with a consumer router (Westell 9100EM provided with verizon FiOS at home). I will be moving ...

oh I see. So would the combination of both RADIUS and a captive portal be ideal? pfSense would run on a standalone computer correct? Does a Cisco ASA5505 or any other Cisco router/firewall product have the capability to implement a captive portal? We are going to purchase a Cisco router/firewall and switch soon. I kind of don't want to run another standalone box with pfSense.

Thanks all for your responses. I'll read through again an digest before my next question. Regarding security this really applies to some 'unscupulous soul' accessing the files by breaking into the system that holds the files.
