How long do you wait after you have weaned your LO before you start letting your DH/SO do anything to your boobies? I don't want to feed my husband or make my boobs think they need to make more milk! So do I wait until I can't get any out by hand? Or until they don't feel full? Or is there a time when it's normally completely dried up? Anxiously awaiting your answers! ;)

I weaned Shelby just before she was 18 months old. She got to nurse once or twice not long after she was fully weaned (once she had a really hard fall and was very upset, I forget why the other time) but that's it. In the past few days to a week, she has said "Shelby eat mommy boobies" a hand full of times. This morning she started tugging at my robe to pull it open so she could see my ...

Hi, Ladies. I weaned my 2-year-old son in September. I was pregnant, sore, and ready, and it was easy as he was only nursing 1-2 times a day and was very, very busy. However, he'll occasionally ask to nurse (like once every few weeks). I always say yes, curious about how it will go, and he latches on like a pro, dry-nurses for a minute or two, then unlatches to go off and play. Do you think ...

Just think, if we had listened to President Carter way back when, and weaned ourselves from the foreign oil economy, we'd be sitting pretty now. But that ronnie reagan was more convincing if much less thoughtful. So now we're stuck listening to norfie's doom and gloom.

Our DS has been weaned from his pacifier for quite sometime now with no problems or anything! A few weeks ago we watched my friends son for about 5 days. He is about 8 months older than DS and he is a thumb sucker. From being around my friends son 24/7 I think sucking his thumb/fingers has rubbed off. Has this happened to anyone before? If we see DS sucking on his fingers or putting them...

Is feeding a baby a Greggs pasty or sausage roll in itself a bad thing? Obviously feeding a child of any age nothing but heavily saturated fatty pastry is unhealthy but is there an age when babies can eat it now and again without detrimental effects? I just wondering because I saw a woman feeding her baby with a pasty today and after an initial "Urrrgh" I wondered if it really was bad for ...

....what kind of bedtime routines did you establish so that your child didn't scream forever? Did you CIO? If you did, for how long each night did your child cry? How many days did it take of CIO in order for them to go to bed okay?

Just wondering...we are NOT at that point yet, but, I have thought we were at least 5 times over the past 6mos lol...he goes over a week without nursing sometimes and then he will want to nurse several times in one day...not worried or complaining or anything, just wondering at what point other people consider a child "weaned" I don't know to many people who have done CLW.

How many of you have or had thumb suckers? DS took a pacifier until about 6 months then gave it up on his own. At 14 months I weaned him off the b00b and he started sucking his thumb at night. It started getting worse and around 16 months he started to turn it into a battle of wills - he would look at me and smile as he put his thumb on his chin and dare me to tell him no. Well I looked it...

To all of you second time Momma's or to the first time Mommas that have weaned....do your breasts ever return to normal? I am not planning on weaning anytime soon...but think about this everytime I look are the foreign body in the mirror.....the stretch marks, the large mounds of flesh that now sag lower than ever before . I have always had a smaller or an average chest and now clothes fit ...

it's been a busy holiday season, but i wanted to touch base here. my son is totally weaned at this point, and on friends recommendation i started a low dose of St. Johns Wort. i felt better immediately; less moody, more even keel through out the day, more relaxed and a lot less anxious. i started sleeping better too; longer and deeper than in years (and having really crazy dreams!) however, ...

I knew it would happen eventually, but the next growth spurt is here (groan). Cue cranky. fussy, unsettled hungry little man. I breastfed for all the previous ones, and hadn't weaned, so my question is: Do I give more milk? OR Do I give more solid food? OR Do I give more of both...? I'm off to get some kip now, before the inevitable onslaught of more night wakings. Chick xxx
