In September, the countrys main labor federation held its national conference, electing a new leadership slate that pledged to fight for jobs, universal single payer health care, new laws to open the road to organizing the unorganized, and for an economic recovery in the interests of working people. This was a step forward which many union members and activists ...

So, right, seeing as how GameTrailers is the place where I spew my drunken soul every Saturday fucking night, I thought I'd do it tonight. And please appreciate the correct spelling and grammar, even I impress myself with that. Right, so, I got cock-blocked, big time, and I'm really fucking pissed off. Like, seriously pissed off. So, more than anything, I was wondering, what's the way ...

Are energy efficiency based bans on TVs, Light bulbs etc the right way forward? In my view, such bans are wrong - also from the environmental perspective 1. Where there is a problem - deal with the problem Energy: There is no energy shortage (given renewable/nuclear development possibilities, with set emission limits) and consumers - not politicians - pay for energy and how they wish to ...

Anyone have any thoughts on this? Seems an interesting proposition: Quote Beta is a widely used quantity in investment analysis. We review the common interpretations that are applied to beta in finance and show that the standard method of estimation - least squares regression - is inconsistent with these interpretations. We present the case for an alternative beta ...

Whatever your view of the Supreme Court ruling, the way the British Bankers Association spokeswoman defends the indefencible is incredbile! Personally I think charges should be capped at £5 per time and a maximum of £30 in a month - any more and the bank should insist you come in for a review or have a compulsory bank funded discussion with a debt charity. As for the charges levied...

We attempted to get an IVA in September 2008. It was declined by our largest creditor so we then put a DMP in place, managed by ourselves. 1 loan and 1 over draft are now cleared (£5k) but the loan accrued arrears for 12 months while we cleared it. These were joint debts. Next on the list are 2 credit cards. both in my husbands name. First is for £3k and appears to show as the terms ...

One can hope he'll explain why we should increase military spending at a time when essential services are being cut around the country. Interesting he's choosing to give the speech at West Point instead of a public school that's going to have to lay off teachers and increase class size. http://www.newsdaily.com/stories/tre5ao2rs-us-afgh anist... / WASHINGTON, Nov. 25, ...

I'm using the standard Media Player app that comes pre-loaded on the Nokia 6303. Everything in general works fine. Only problem is, it takes absolutely ages to fast-forward through long tracks (such as podcasts and DJ mixes). The normal fast forward function is just way to slow for the job. Are there are any other media players out there that have a fast fast forward feature?...

By the way - I checked on that Sedona Webinar being offered in early December. All I can say is -wow! EVERYTHING that Vey and Co. alluded to in the conference call is moving forward. It is what is called "execution", and that gives me more confidence than ever that Sedona is not only moving in the right direction, but has a REAL HANDLE on how to grow the business. When management understands the ...

Yes. When you can finally get 100 smaller ones for the price of 100 DVD's. The problem is, customers also need to have something that can read them. I'm thinking that it would be cheaper for a company to produce a flash card that could be read by a card reader (Maybe SD?) rather than producing something that includes an actual USB plug. I was helping out a local photo club that was doing ...

Angela Knight is nothing but a parasite. Someone who gets paid to chair a quango. If she was offered another £20,000 per year to chair the Which Consumer organisation, she would jump ship in an instant. She's a hypocrite, and if she was on fire in the gutter, I wouldn't even waste my pi$$ on her.
