The unit's design, which is based on a technology utilized in Germany and China that has been in production for over three years, does not require being mounted on the roof. With the units mounted in a vertical position, the collector tubes offer 360-degree solar ...

QUESTION: Hi Jim! I am wondering if you could point me in the right direction. I moved into a home with a hot water heater system that resides in my attic. It is a relatively new system and was working fine* just before my friend (who lived here right before me) moved out. The hot water heater is working as I get hot water in the house. The blower seems to be working because when I turn...

The HW zone valve actuator is running ok though a little stiff at the end when it closes. So I removed it and made sure the valve spindle is fully in the closed position. It appears the HW is still heating. How often do the valve ...

Some buildings have continuous hot water recirculation devices, so that when the tap is turned on it takes a second or two to get hot water. (This is common in hotels, large apartment/condo buildings etc). Is it possible that this used to occur in your building and the pump is broken?

Hooray, hooray! After lots of faffing around we have finally got organised and our solar water heating is being fitted today. Is there a better time of year to see the benefits of light based energy than close to the shortest day?!? Anticipating low oil usage next spring to autumn - fingers crossed, but feel sorry for the lads installing it today - it's bitter here>...
