’m currently building a special catalytic converter in order to neutralize poisonous hydrogen chloride gas from electrolysis of salt water. I’m thinking wood ash will work as the neutralizing base for the converter. As a nurseryman, one way to scarify certain seeds is to dip them in hydrochloric acid for a few minutes, in order to ’break’ the hard shells of the seeds, it is much the same as ...

The only kind of electrolysis I've learned about is electrolysis of salts dissolved in water. In that case theres current flowing through between the two electrodes but what do you call the process where you submerge 2 electrodes of the same metal in pure water in order to produce a solution of water and metal particles?

Because of building wiring errors,30-40 amps of AC neutral/ground current was flowing on these water pipes in a large commercial building(water source is wells and is very hard). Is it possible for a copper chemical electrolysis reaction to occur and create large constant green deposits to be discharged from this water system?

In the final analysis of the electrolysis turbine, three resources are created from the combustion of hydrogen and oxygen; heat, which can be used to keep the water source from freezing as well as heating a home; Electricity if we use the motion of the turbine as a generator; and clean water. I have often thought of applications for the turbine, using it as a water pump, we could purify ...

Flushing is very important especially when replacing a heater core. I would just use the Prestone flush once and then flush with straight water one more time after and then fill it up with coolant/water. Electrolysis is the #1 cause of heater core failure adn unless you throughly flush the cooling system you can't get rid of it...make sure all of your grounds are clean and tight, that is the only...

Electrolysis is very simple. All you have to do is arrange for electricity to pass through some water between to electrodes placed in the water, right? ss-spam removed Last edited on Fri Nov 13th, 2009 03:18 pm by nNeo
