I can see mould on the rubber seal near the door but I cannot remove it with any cleaning products including oven cleaner and bleach! This makes smell musty and also the machine is smelling off rotten eggs and really stinks, is there any way to get rid of it? I can sometimes smell it outside but didn't think it was our drain, I will check the drain for a blockage, what could help with the ...

Our Zanussi FL812 machine, 20 years old but never failing, has developed a smell not unlike rotten cabbage, following on from a boil wash. I figure something might have gone behind the drum. Is it possible to get in there to see what is happening?

I need to buy a new or even a 2nd hand washing machine (if there is such a thing). Where can I get a reasonably priced new washing machine or even a good 2nd hand one. Also, I need a new rug, again reasonably priced. Any ideas where to get a good size rug? Last edited by monnydite on Sun Nov 08, 2009 3:32 am; edited 2 times in total

Hello I'm rearranging the kitchen. I'd like to swap the washing machine & cooker positions, but this will mean running 2.5 metre hoses from the washer to the plumbing. They'd have to pass behind my freestanding electric cooker. Is this a really bad idea? Thanks! Cherry

I have a Bosch Maxx WFL 2450 washing machine. I just ran it on a 40 degree programme, & when it finished I went to run the rinse programme. But when I press the start switch, the "Active" light comes on but nothing happens except a very quiet click sound (which is usually followed by the sound of water filling the machine). After about a minute the "Ready" llight starts flashing instead. I...

Hi, If our washing machine is selected to work on a programme which has, say, an hour to run, it seems to take a full hour washing and then a further full hour rinsing. Is this some sort of electical control panel fault? Thanks, Damien

Hi all, my washing machine will not take the fabric conditioner anymore! I have given the drawer a good clean, ran the washer with nothing in on a hot cycle and fed hot water via a funnel into the compartment – still no joy.
