Got this '85 washburn hm20-v in a trade deal. Guy had it listed on CL for $80.00 or trade. The pickups will eventually be swapped for a couple EMG 81s. the stock pickups are a bit dark sounding. I totally agree with you, and the only thing you left out is, getting rid of those duncan sh4s and putting in an El Diablo pick up! NOW THAT WOULD BE SICKKKKKK...!!! I have never played a MKII I'll have to check one out, yeah Voodoo Amps I have a friend that got work done there sweet! TC, you basically have what Mr Ian was using during that period of time.

Strictly sub-$500 range, no Larrivee customs and whatnot. The ones I know of: Simon & Patrick, Seagull Grand, Art & Lutherie Ami (I realize these are all essentially the same guitar, except the S&P makes a high gloss model), Washburn, Baby Taylor, Little Martin. Post your recommendation, either from the above or one I'm not aware of.

Neither of these guys is good, but Pavano is clearly the better of the two by a fairly wide margin. Washburn is at the point where he's a clear #5 in any rotation.
