What does this mean? (not literally of course...) France is negotiating to sell a high-tech warship to Russia, which would mark the first time that a NATO nation and a founding member at that sold arms to the country since the fall of the Soviet Union, which the treaty organization was created to oppose. The Russians are anxiously looking to buy one of Frances Mistral class ...

Is anyone aware of the date, during WWII, when the Admiralty in London issued instructions to their warship commanders not to approach an unidentified vessel closer than 4,000 yards? I believe this was the distance, but I'm unsure.

Progress todate, plus conceptual CAD (courtesy of Penguin of Death) can be found here. http://s3.zetaboards.com/The_Ammobunker/topic/7292 782/1/ I'll make sure to pop up a few photos here too and I look forward to any suggestions / help. (If anyone has turret designs or large Aquila templates for example?)

"I hate war,? said Dwight Eisenhower, ?as only a soldier who has lived it can, as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity.? He also said, ?Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies in the final sense a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed.?
