I have been reading a lot lately about the growing popularity of slip bobbering for walleye. Have any of you had success with this technique in Lake St. Clair? I have been thinking about trying it this spring with live minnows, leeches n crawlers in the areas i have had success trolling for them in the summer. i'll most likely launch at end of s. river road and set up drifts around north channel ...

BZ got questions I gots answers.. This fall has been incredible here for walleye. The big walleye here follow the shad schools around. But there is still plenty of fun and good eating to be had with the smaller ones even when the big ones aren't available. Three different styles of fishing are the main ways to get them in our river system here. Wing dams, around bridges, the channel, flats, ...

any tips for targetting walleye in a river this time of year and into the winter? slow moving river some deep holes, heavily fished. i would rather avoid bait and night fishing is almost impossible. i am guessing jigs swept into deep holes and crank/stick baits dawn/dusk? thanks

What are everyone's thoughts about keeping inland Walleye fishing open during the spawn? The Spring runs allow small boat and shore bound anglers the best chance for good numbers of fish. And for many anglers it's their only chance at catching Great Lakes Walleye. Perhaps a reduced Spring time limit or a reduced limit/slot limit combo would be a great way to increase participation in fishing, but...

My walleye mount fell off the wall the other day don't know how. The tail fin is cracked and folded over some, and the dorsal fins are broken off in places half way down the fin and bent over in in other spots. Some of the paint came off but I know that can be fixed easy. I picked up the pieces of fin and put them in a bag. I haven't called the taxidermist to talk to him about it yet, but my ...

Sooo my very cool friend, Valerie, made me post this. I caught a really sweet Walleye the other day, by myself, in the freezing cold. She told I was going to get frostbite but I didn't listen to her.... she knows what's up.

I have a $75 gift certificate to cabelas and was planning on buying myself a couple new rods and reels for the upcoming season. I am looking for a reliable set-up with very good sensativity, and have enough strenth to pull up a monster walleye. Any advice would be very ...
