Is the Royal Islander walking distance to good restaurants? I assume it has no AI option and eating out would be the way to go. Is there a grocery store nearby?

Hi Loni here is a link to some information on West Asheville - you will find a wealth of information here on the general area West Asheville consists of a series of neighborhoods with a 'funky-trendy' common vibe that translates into a mix of historic neighborhoods and fun main streets with great places to eat and of course real 'pubs' in which to drink.West Asheville is in the midst of ...

There is the Shorebird at the Outrigger Reef, Keo's Thai, Orchids at the Halekulani, Roy's, the Yard House and a bunch of good restaurants and fast food places for take out in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center. And I love Todai, a Japanese buffet, right by your tower. There is also the Wailana Coffee House for great, inexpensive meals. When you want to walk to Waikiki, I ...

You could walk if you really wanted to...I reckon it would take approx 45mins to an hour. Personally I'd jump on the shuttle or even catch a cab on the way back...depends how much you like walking!!

Great food there BTW and walking distance from the PFOB Boys at 2100 McKinney. Borders right across the street too. Discussing PFOB at the Pub and watching Tech beat the Sooners (sorry JJ). I don't believe it gets any better than that! :) Stace

We're looking at off-site hotels within reasonable walking distance to US, IOA and CityWalk. Have been reading many reviews on various sites. We've sort of narrowed it down to these: Hyatt Place nearest Universal - we can get an awesome rate of $546 for 6 nights for a standard Crowne Plaza near Universal - This one is a higher in price - $1200 for the 6 nights Would ...

There is a series of "sky-bridges" that connect several of the buildings on Bunker Hill, including the Bonaventure. In February 2007, I did exactly what you are planning - stayed at the Bonaventure and attended a performance at the Music Center. Leaving the Bonaventure from one of the levels where the restaurants and shops are (I ...

Brown Sugar is really the only place within walking distance of the Hilton. It serves a Bajan buffet at lunchtimes which is really nice and the evening meals are fab too. However, if you walk up to the main road you can easily get a bus or route taxi for $1.50 per person that will take you to the Gap or any of the other restaurants along the south coast.

Ii wouldn't call marliave "romantic.." Maybe a nice spot to grab a cocktail and some oysters/apps at the bar. The one time I went (on a Saturday night, peak time) the place was like a ghost town. I suppose some might view that as romantic, but imo Marliave and No. 9 are in different leagues.

Royal Islander has great access to many restaurants. If you don't mind walking a bit, great after a big dinner, you have a lot of choices. You can try some of the restaurants at the Caribbean and Mayan, they have great restaurants and theme nights like Italian night at the Caribbean every Wednesday night, food is ok, lots of it for a decent price. And of course the Conquistador that servers ...
