So I have been trying to get online with my 360 wirelessly, but it won't let me put the right password in. My network is set up with a wpa password. But whenever i try to connect it asks for a WEP. Does anyone know why this would happen? also I am using the adapter that was made for the regular xbox. It has worked in the past, but now does not.

For some reason I can't connect to my office Wifi WPA Enterprise connection using PEAP. Since there is no WPA Enterprise option in the Wifi settings dropdown I'm trying WPA2 ... I input my user name / password etc. The connection says "connecting" and then it goes back to "available" after staying at connecting for some time. Is this a WinMo6.5 limitation coz my colleagues with iPhones ...

My sister has problem in connecting her computer to the landlord's w/l router. We have all the settings: WPA-PSK, TKIP, password (all numerals) etc. I setup my notebook using the above settings, no problem. Her computer detects the preferred network. I select and click Change Advance Settings to enter the mode, encryption and password but still no connection. Is there anything I missed ...

I posted this as part of another thread of mine but never got an answer so I wanted to try again. In my router I have the following available for security. WPA Personal WPA Enterprise WPA2 Personal WPA2 Enterprise I ended up changing from WEP to WPA Personal but can change that if one of the other options are better. One thing I don't understand is that when I used WEP...

Upgraded a nearly new HP Pavilion from VISTA to Win7 and wireless now does not work. Wireless worked fine with VISTA. When I look at available connections, it sees the SSID but is incorrectly showing WEP security on the network when the router is set to WPA - Personal with TKIP encryption. Have several other computers using wireless connection including a Win7 dell laptop without any problem....

Hitting the walls of my ignorance. I put 2009.1 on an old laptop (I think from 2001) Toshiba 8200. It has an inbuilt Wifi, but this one does not support WPA. So I plugged in this Belkin adapter (worked well before on the same machine with WinXP, now deleted). The adapter was not recognized at installation of 2009.1, so afterwards I first updated 2009.1 and then installed the ...
