Hi people, interested if anyone is breaking a W126. I havr a 380 SEC 82'. Has a very tempetamental idle. Indie has checked idle control unit, idle control valve, all are in good nick thank god. Says that there is a idle control something under the footpedals which is getting full voltage hence the unpredictable idle. Its been garaged for past few weeks due to the snow & ice, too...

My father-in-law has a '90 300se W126 and wants to fit some seat covers / protectors to the front seats. How do the headrests come out? I have pulled them up to the top position but can't see any release catches. Thanks Matt

The Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call - New Orleans (2009) I saw it just yesterday, (For Mercedes Benz W126 fanatics only): Outside the Lt.'s pross girlfriend's apt. in New Orleans, was a clear, complete, shot of LWB US spec sedan parked right outside in front. Hasn't hit imdb yet; so I cant post a pic; but did anyone else notice it it in this movie?

Hi all. I'm just asking on the offchance, does anybody have a W126 ceiling panel (the one the rear interior light fits into) that they would like to sell? Mine is bendy and it bugs me every time i look in the mirror. I've tried various fixes but it aways reverts to its previous bendyness! Thanks. Oh and the colour is cream

Hi, New member here, I was told sometime ago that the seals for the Duo Valve on my W126 300SE were no longer available, is this still the case or is there now a source for them? I've just bought a 2nd used Duo Valve, when I stripped the first one 2 years ago, the large seals had split and the sellers attitude was "tough", the 2nd is the same although not as bad as the ...

Hello, I am looking to sell my 1987 Mercedes 300SDL (w126 S-Class). The car is in great shape, and only has 155k miles on it (170k on engine and trans). The engine and transmission have been swapped from a 1983 300SD (at approximately 130k and 145k respectively). I have recently run into some transmission trouble. While the car is engaged in first gear, upon acceleration the car slips out...

I decided to go visit the european yard in Manchester today. I have been looking for a nice set of red/burgandy front seats for my 89 560SEL for awhile now and thought it was time to make another trip. as I pulled into the parking lot, I noticed that things were cleaned up and somewhat arranged since my last visit. so I thought he was getting ready to bring in fresh inventory. as it turns out, ...

Well after around a foot and half of snow here in the northeast i thought it might be a good idea to compile a list of people ideas, do's, and don'ts for w126 snow driving. So far iv learned that i might as well forget any kind of snow travel though i would be interested in what works for you. Snow tires? Chains? Weight in the Trunk? Front mounted flame thrower. _Troy,
