Hello there, i am new to the site and have found it very informitve. i am the proud owner of two 97' s10's' i am gearing up to do a 5.7 vortec swap into my baby, it currently has the4.3 vortec. Ive got a bunch of stock unreworked vortec truck harnesses. Most of what I have is fly by wire, Might have 1 or 2 cable harnesses. $80 plus shipping per harness.

Ok Im pretty new at building engines so all info is much appreciated. I have a 98 vortec 350 and Im wanting to stroke it to a 383. It has a Jims performance harness on it and he told me to use a ram jet cam on it. Is that a good idea? And what will I need to do to use it? And allso what would be a good stroker kit? Jus rebuild 350 vortec motor thats goin in a 81 regal but need tranny! I ran cross a couple of tranny's like a 350 turbo, 400, 700r4, and a power glide trans. Which tanny would be the best to put behind the 350 vortec

will a LS1 intake & injectors work on my 96 5.7 vortec? if so what all is involed? i'm planning on upgrading my spider injectors but if the LS1 intake & injectors will work without a bunch of computer swaping i may just go this route seeing that i can get a LS1 intake for the about the same the upgraded spider would cost. any info is greatly appreciated.

Alrite guys who owns the GMC vortec max and what do you guys like and dislike about them? They all they cracked up to be? Ive researched and can't find nothing. I own a 5.3 and I am thinking about trading. I want to stick with GM and I imgine the 6.0 would be a huge power differnce

I just picked up a 1995 s10 4.3l tbi 5 speed. The rpo code for the engine is LB4 and vin number is z. I have an edelbrock 4.3l tbi intake manifold 3713 that I would like to put on the truck but summit says the manifold is for up to a 94 truck and the valve covers on the truck say vortec. I looked at the intake manifold on the truck and the mounting bolt holes look like there in the right spots...

Ok i have a 97 s10 and im doing a vortec v8 swap into my truck and i called jared at cpwire and hes said that i should get a 4.3l vortec engine harness from any 97 year s10/blazer/jimmy and sonoma, and unfortunately i cant find any 97 vehicles at any local junk yards right now, but i can get my hands on a 95 harness, would i be able to use that yr of harness or no? my truck has a 2.2l thats ...
