I have noticed that if I am on a voice call and get an incoming SMS, email, or PIN, I don't get any type of alert. My wife always seems to SMS or PIN me when I am on the phone talking to work, friends, etc. On my RAZR, I would hear a tone when I got an incoming SMS, even when I was on a voice call. Can I set my 8330 to do this?

I'm trying to test my app for how it responds to suspend events. When I have a data call (ISockPort) open, should I get a suspend event in the emulator if I simulate an incoming voice call? It looks like if the network is EV-DO it should be possible, and indeed, if I put the app on a handset it will get a suspend event... but not in the emulator. In a GSM network, voice data is transferred in digitized form. However you can not really access and modify the binary stream of that.
