Hi everyone! I was just wondering how many here have used or are using vistaril to relax their uterus? Hi ladies, I tend to be a bit more of a lurker than a poster, but a friend has a question, she is 7 weeks PG and her dr prescribed vistaril for her due to her huge amt of nausea and insomnia. My research shows that vistaril is prescribed as a sedative, helps with her insomnia, but would you take it in your first tri? -- Me 27 DH 27 DD#1 12/04 DD#2 2/07 EDD#3 3/4/10 thinking blue......

so i went to my doc today, dialated to a 2!!!!!!! yaya!!! thats progress since last week, did and ultrasound baby is head down! and doc said that id proilly have her thanksgiving weekend. also she prescribed me vistaril for my RLS and pain in my hips and belvic bone, just wondered if anyone else has taken it?

I just started vistaril and am wondering if the low dose (25mg) will cause weight gain. I would love to give this a chance, but have already gained 30 lbs due to other medical problems. Can't affort another gain. Anybody on low dose that has NOT gained weight? Thanks

I have been taking Restoril for only a little while and they are 15 mg. I have taken up to 6 and still felt fine. I always have Vistaril...I was wondering if I mixed these 2 together it would get me a better feeling or not... And also, shooting up Restoril wouldn't be a good idea right? lol Thanks guy!

I was prescribed Vistaril yesterday to help slow down my contractions. I am leary about taking it because it said that it can cause birthd defects in early pregnancy and although I am in my 3rd tri I am still unsure. It does not say anything about later in pregnancy and having any complications. Has anyone taken this? Make a pregnancy ticker

I was having some cramping and pressure earlier today so I called my doc and they told me to come in. They did a pelvic and urine exam and everything came out normal.
