I want to do a straight upgrade and NOT have to worry about doing a custom install that will wipe my computer. Should I choose to upgrade to Windows 7 Home or 7 Professional? Thanks. I have a Vista Business key, and I have a Vista x64 install disk. The problem is, when I go to install it, the key doesn't work. The cd is for vista home premium and ultimate, and for some reason, business isn't included. I know in Windows 7, you can delete a file to make it support all the versions, is there a way you can do that in Vista? Thank You

Upgrade process is successful until the first reboot at 21% of files expanded. The reboot screen has the white "Starting windows" lettering on a black background and never continues. I tried booting from the DVD and got the same error. MS Tech rep says I have to remove other drives and remove all but minimum RAM. Any better suggestions? 1 person needs an answer I do too

I have to recover a W500, and I don't have the recovery media. Anyone have a set they are interested in selling/loaning/trading/bartering/swapping/etc? I know that IBM sells the disc set, but it's for a one time recovery, and the customer isn't interested in buying the set. I think they are recovering the machine so they can sell it. -Ted
