So I'm massively bored! I had a look on Wikipedia, I thought I'd look up Ickornshaw, where I live. It threw up a page about Viscount Snowden. I was aware of him, there's a monument on the moors, but that's all I know. So, knowing nothing about politics, was he good or bad? Is this a claim to fame worth mentioning? Here's the page on him Philip Snowden,...

Lufthansa Vickers Viscount bonus model This is new in my collection of Lufthansa display-models: A small metal Vickers Viscount 814 that was probably given as a bonus to frequent travellers in the 1960s. It is approximately 12 centimetres long. Unfortunately I can't identify the manufacturer - it only says "Made in Western ...

I think I've got my terminology right. Anyway, it's the two sets of bearings that allow the fork to turn. I can tighten the ring down enough to keep the fork from rattling around, but then the bearings are jammed and the fork won't turn. If I loosen it up enough for the fork to turn freely, it's loose. I refurbished this bike recently and...

He's the best individual and, more important, he is running drug free. Same for Mastercraftsman in the Dirt Mile. And Lillie Langtry in the Juvenile Fillies Turf, Viscount Nelson in the Juvenile Turf, Fleeting Spirit in the Sprint and both Beethoven and Alfred Nobel in the Juvenile. I may have missed some, but I'll be rooting for all of these and any others competing without race day ...

A 'distinguished' LibDem Peer has become embroiled in the expenses row after it emerged he pocketed £200,000 by claiming a home he did not even own as his main residence. The 15th Viscount of Falkland registered a two-bedroom oast house in Kent, owned by his wife's aunt, as his main home, despite not even being on the electoral roll there. In reality, he lives in a three-storey ...

Was hoping for some input on three hotels that my husband and I are looking at for 3 nights in March. We like the Marriott but the location doesn't seem convenient for the beach, shopping and fine restuarants. The others we are looking at are Viscount and Breakers. We arrive on March 10 and are looking only to relax and enjoy the scenery. The next two days will be shopping and beaches....
